"The Indian-Pacific Route" - Australia
Sit back and watch the timeless landscape of Australia pass through your window on this epic train journey. Climb up in Sydney and head down for tours of Broken Hill, Adelaide and Kalgoorlie, rich in gold. Or take the train in Perth and cut the mainland in the other direction, from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific. Cross the spectacular Blue Mountains, stop at Cook's remote outpost and travel nearly 500 kilometers along the rugged Nullarbor plains. Whatever your direction, you wake up with the aroma of fresh coffee, watch a blazing sunset and fall asleep in the rhythmic swing of the train.
Embark on Sydney Central Station and settle into your cabin or armchair for a comfortable afternoon watching the scenery from your window. Note the sandstone cliffs, wooded valley valleys, Escarpments and waterfalls of the Blue Mountains become more arid landscapes of the outback of New South Wales. Watch the flaming sun dive into rugged mountains, mulatto acacias and desert plains while dining and sipping a wine in the dining wagon.
Enter Broken Hill at the beginning of your second day and marvel at the intense light and spectacular colors that have attracted many artists to the area. The old mining town known as Silver City sits amidst characteristic desert landscapes and an oasis of lakes. Absorb the atmosphere of the city in a one hour stop. Learn about the rich history of mining at the Royal Flying Doctor Base. See the 'Living Desert Sculptures' and one of the impressive art galleries. Arrive Adelaide in the middle of the afternoon

See the stone buildings along the North Terrace and Rundle Street cafés. You also pass Montefiore Hill, Colonel Light Lookout, Adelaide Oval Cricket Ground and Lake Torrens. You can tour one of the world's most isolated remote stations when the train stops in Cook. Cook, once a prosperous settlement by the railroad, now has only a few residents and sits in the middle of the vast, tree-lined Nullarbor, About 1,500 kilometers from Perth.
Get off at the gold capital of Australia in time for a nightly expedition. See the artificially lit gold supermina, over 400 meters deep, with a gigantic machinery that looks like a Tonka truck seen from afar. Listen to stories of crooks and brothels, fortunes and sufferings as you drive past magnificent old pubs on Hannan Street. It was named after the Irishman Paddy Hannan, who was the first to discover the riches of the region in 1893.
You arrive in Perth after 68 hours accelerating across the Australian continent from Sydney. This sunny beach town is closer to Singapore than Sydney and is an important entry point to Asia. Make the most of your first morning here with an Indian-Pacific tour along the Swan River and past carefully restored colonial buildings. After a quick stroll through the attractions of Perth, you and your luggage will be left at your accommodation in the city.

Tips for Managing People
One of the modern leader challenges is to raise team performance without increasing payroll. Managing people is a key tool to get there.
Racing has been sidelined for a long time and the hard-line boss has reigned absolute in companies for decades.
Fortunately, the authoritarian leadership has been counting on the days, giving space for a more democratic action and focused on the development of employees.
Check out some tips to make good people management:
Meet your team: The first step is to know the strengths and weaknesses of the people who work with you. This way, you can assign specific tasks according to the abilities of each one and raise the performance of the team as a whole.
Have confidence in your employees: Having faith in the work of your team is paramount. Trust makes the skills and talents appear.
Learn to delegate: you do not need to get involved in every detail of the projects and activities you command. If all are well aligned with the goals to be achieved and well prepared to perform their duties, the results will be achieved.
Encourage participation: this posture will make innovative ideas come up and problems can be solved more easily. Reward the best ideas with a gift card or invitation for a special lunch, for example, to increase engagement.
Be present: you should never isolate yourself from your team. It is important for the employee to have a constant exchange with the leader. Be accessible, promptly returning the suggestions and criticisms raised.
Bet on feedbacks: you must be frank and fair to your employees. Meet often with each of them to show what you are thinking about the work done so far. Praise the satisfactory performance and show the points that still have to be improved.
Celebrate achievements: If your team has reached a goal or solved that problem that seemed impossible, you have to celebrate. You do not have to do anything fancy. You can bet on a breakfast or happy hour. Even a formal compliment, with company-wide copying, can be an effective way of thanking your team effort.
